Showcasing incredible images from around the world!
LaMond Warnick has always had an interest in photography. At the age of eleven he taped the window of his mothers sewing room with black plastic , got a paper route & with the money earned, bought a contact printer & the chemicals & supplies necessary to start learning the art.
He is an avid outdoorsman. He loves nature & wildlife photography, rafting, skiing, 4 wheeling, backpacking & rock climbing.
He graduated from New York Institute of Photography in 1985.
LaMond started photographing Nature & Wildlife in the early 80's. He both showed & sold his work to galleries & art & photography festivals. He won an Award of Merit from his graduate school New York Institute of Photography, the same year he graduated by both the President & Dean for his outstanding work. Professional Photographers have also been a great influence on him & helped him perfect his art.
His oldest son Justin, in 1984 started preschool. Justin's teacher needed a photographer to photograph all of the children in her preschool, so she asked LaMond if he would be willing. He accepted. Word got around about LaMond & his excellent work. LaMond would spend tedious & time consuming hours putting together props & scenes that were not the norm back then. He worked on lighting & turned out products that were in high demand.
The Preschools, Head starts & Daycares in the area booked him. Before long he was photographing families & doing wedding portraiture.
Every chance he got, LaMond would get outdoors & still take portraits, but because his studio was so busy, he didn't have the time to exhibit & sell his nature, wildlife & fine art photography.
LaMond' s work has been published. He has served as a photography juror for many years for both the County & Utah State Fairs .. He has photographed Business & Corporate Executives, Professional sports figures, Governors, Congressman, Senators , Mayors & people through all walks of life.
He is a member of the International Freelance Photographers Organization (IFPO).
LaMond believes in helping both the world & community. He donates both money & time to several
organizations & businesses that primarily help feed, support & educate children in need.
He has been blessed to be able to travel around the world & photograph. While he was in Africa he saw little orphaned children, with no means to support themselves, rummaging through the garbage dumps in search of food & sleeping in the streets. He sends some of the proceeds he makes with his photography to Africa to help needy children.
LaMond Warnick Photography has been named by the Salt Lake City Award Program the best Portrait Photographer for Salt Lake City for 2016 & Inducted into the Business Hall Fame for 5 consecutive years & named best Portrait Photographer for 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2023.
LaMond has also served as Chairman of the Business Advisory Council for the National Congressional Committee & was named Businessman of the Year in 2003 by that same committee.
We live in the most amazing world I am so blessed to be able to capture some of those images. Too see both the beauty & despair of our Universe. I am grateful for the ability to share some of those images & be able to give back & help make this world a better place.
We are stewards of this Earth. We need to take care of it & be environmentally responsible. Our job is to make this world a better place for the next generation. I want my children & the generations behind them to be able to see in person the beautiful images that have been memorialized digitally & on film.
